As part of the Ian Kemp Memorial concert in September 2012, Eva Meier and Paul Cibis performed at the Wigmore Hall in London. Their set conisted of songs by Kurt Weill.
PIANO BATTLE on the road again in Asia and Europe: The concert show was performed at the Zhung Xing Hall in Taichung in March 2012, then in May it was featured at the Piano City Festival in Milan.
Recordings in Berlin: In March 2012, Paul Cibis spent two days at the Siemensvilla in Berlin to record new works by Claudiu Fischer and Kai-nan Huang.
In December 2011, the PIANO BATTLE team set off to Asia for their second concert tour in China, covering eight cities in total (Shenyang, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wenzhou, Shanghai, Chongqing, Wuhan and Zhengzhou). Andreas Kern and Paul Cibis, the protagonists of the show, had a blast during the 14-day trip. Look at their pictures here.
More than meets the ear: In November 2011, Paul Cibis was invited to perform in tandem with Hong Kong-based sand artist Hoi Chiu at Kee Club to mark the 10th anniversary of the Hong Kong institution. The success of the evening inspired the duo to make plans for further collaboration in 2012 and 2013.

In April 2011 Paul Cibis had his debut at the Philharmonie am Gasteig in Munich. The performance with singer Julietta Demetriades took place as part of the Zyprischer Frühling festival.
In February 2011 Eva Meier and Paul Cibis were guests of the Johannesburg International Mozart Festival. They performed a programme of pieces by Weill, Eisler, Hollaender & Spoliansky at the theatre of the University of Witwatersrand.
In January 2011 Paul Cibis recorded in Taipei his new solo album THE STORY IN MIND. The CD with pieces by Taiwanese composer Kai-nan Huang will be released in Taiwan in June 2011.
The PIANO BATTLE with Andreas Kern and Paul Cibis went on its first tour in China! All five performances in Shanghai, Fuzhou and Guanhgzhou were sold-out! Further tours will follow.
The PIANO BATTLE in Berlin: In October 2010 Andreas Kern and Paul Cibis performed their concert show as part of the PIANO CITY BERLIN festival at the RADIALSYSTEM V. Members of the audience at the sold-out concert were apparently enthusiastic in their involvement of the show!
Paul Cibis und Eva Meier performed at the French May Festival 2010 in Hong Kong to a sold-out auditorium at the HKAPA Concert Hall.
Mezzo-soprano Monica Brett-Crowther and Paul Cibis gave their Swiss debut in March 2010, with a recital in Ermatingen.
In November 2009 Paul Cibis gave his second piano master class at the Kyungnam Arts High School in Jinju, South Korea. This time, in addition to the individual sessions, he also gave a special lecture on the “Songs Without Words” by Mendelssohn.
The PIANO BATTLE premiered in Hong Kong at the 2009 Hong Kong City Festival. The Hong Kong Fringe Club hosted the Asian premiere of the PIANO BATTLE in three enthusiastically received sold-out shows. Paul Cibis and Andreas Kern are looking forward to returning to Hong Kong for another Battle next year!
LA BONNE CHANSON is out! Mezzo-soprano Barbara Senator and Paul Cibis recorded a CD of French music featuring songs by Gabriel Fauré and Hector Berlioz, plus one piano solo by Claude Debussy. In November 2008 Eva Meier and Paul Cibis played their debut at the FRINGE SHANGHAI. They opened the concert season of this year’s festival with their programme “Love and the City”.
In October 2008, Paul Cibis was invited fort the second time to teach a one week German Lied master class at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. The repertoire this year focused on the Mörike songs by Hugo Wolf. The picture was taken at the end of the final concert of the students.
In October 2008 Paul Cibis accompanied Eva Meier in the CELEBRITY CABARET gala concert at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. This fundraising event supported future scholaships for students of the Academy.
